DESCRIPTION

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed for divers who want to enhance their skills and gain more experience after completing the Open Water Diver certification. This course allows divers to explore different aspects of diving while building confidence and competence in the water.

OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE

This course builds on the knowledge gained from the Open Water Diver course and includes five varied adventure dives.

• Enhance Diving Skills: Improve existing diving skills and learn new techniques to increase overall diving proficiency.

• Experience Various Diving Environments: Participate in a variety of adventure dives, allowing you to explore different underwater settings and specialties.

• Gain Confidence: Build confidence in your diving abilities through practical experience and guided instruction.

• Develop Navigation Skills: Learn underwater navigation techniques, which are essential for safely exploring dive sites.

• Understand Depth Management: Gain knowledge about the effects of depth on diving and learn safe practices for deep diving.

• Prepare for Specialties: Lay the groundwork for pursuing further specialty courses, expanding your diving education and experiences.

CERTIFICATION

With the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, you will have the opportunity to dive independently with a buddy, to a maximum depth of 30 meters (100 feet).

Course duration: 2 days (without theory)

Prerequisites: Be an Open Water Diver or equivalent

Minimum age: 12 years

Maximum depth: 30 meters 

ORGANIZATION

Please arrive at the dive center La Perle Noire by 1 p.m, where the instructor will welcome you. 

Day 1 (approximately 1 p.m.-8 p.m.): 3 training dives from the beach (including the night dive)

Day 2 (approximately 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.): 2 training dives from the boat in the marine reserve

The theory is done online via the PADI platform before the course. Certification is validated at the end of the course.
