I would classify La Perle Noire as a fantastic spot for the diving community. The place offers its own well organized activities and dives, making it a convenient and welcoming choice for anyone looking to explore the underwater world.
The people here are friendly and interesting—great for some casual conversation to start the day or after a dive. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and come with reliable Wi-Fi and air conditioning, which is a must given the hot and humid weather.
There’s a perfect balance of social spaces and privacy, so whether you want to hang out or unwind, there’s room for both. The place is well-organized and maintained, adding to the overall positive experience.
The location is downtown, within a local environment that gives you an authentic feel of the area. It’s well-connected, but note that you’ll need to walk to reach most spots, or rent a scooter if you don't like walking that much.
I only stayed 3 nights, but I highly recommend it for divers and anyone looking for a laid-back, comfortable stay! I would absolutely come back to this spot in my future trips.

I took a chance trying to get away from the major hotels and found this place. It was very clean and even though I didn't dive, it was a great place to stay. The kitchen area was awesome, the rooms were clean and Dom addressed any questions. There were common areas to hang out on all three levels. Bring a book, there are two hammocks.
It's nestled within a residential area so it's quiet and there are many lil eateries within a short walking distance. If you don't want to walk they have scooters available for rent. I'll definitely stay there again.

We had a fantastic stay at La Perle Noire. A great little boutique style hotel run by a great group of people living their dream. The room was clean, comfortable and the shared spaces of pool, kitchen and rooftop deck were everything you might need for a vacation in Cozumel...... Very good value for the money.|Everybody we met were so helpful and pleasant|I would stay here again in an instant provides there is a room available..... I'm betting La Perle Noire is going to be very busy and rooms will be hard to get! Well done to everyone at la Perle Noire

Can’t say enough good things about our time at La Perle Noire! My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the hotel, and also got our PADI certification while we were there.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the manager Dom who was so kind and helpful for our entire stay. Our room was very nice and clean and the shared spaces were great. Kitchen is fully stocked and we enjoyed using it to make breakfast every morning before our dive for the day. We loved the location of the hotel because it was far enough from the main area that we felt like we could take in the local vibe a bit more, but could still walk to it from the ferry.
As for our dive certification, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our instructor Étienne was a blast and really made the class enjoyable. He was patient, knowledgeable, and serious when necessary. But mostly, we all just got to share laughs and enjoy ourselves. We feel like we left the certification feeling fully prepared (and officially addicted to diving).
Can’t wait to come back next time we are in Cozumel!

Lovely boutique hotel in Cozumel. Unfortunately there was a mistake when booking by Agoda and Agoda reserved the wrong room type. We sorted it out with Dom the owner who was polite professional and understanding and stayed with us through the process. He even recommended some hotels to better suit our stay. We really appreciated this hotel’s service even when there was a booking mistake.

Dan is a kind and welcoming host. The place is clean, with comfortable bed and calm neighbourhood.
Our dive with Manuela was very good as well - small group, safe and relaxed! We would come back when again on Cozumel :)

We actually had to cancel last minute, for me and my brother, and Dom was super helpful very nice guy and understanding. We organised everything through Booking.com and they reimbursed him for the trouble since they made a mistake with the room. We did a few dives too with Dom and it was great!

Was able to cook my catches from the day. I slept well (god knows we need a good night to recuperate before heading out for a dive and E-Surf). The owners were present, available and friendly. Rooms where clean and authentic. We can feel the proximity and love from the owners.

Great value for money! Comfortable rooms, with big TV, nice sheets. Super friendly staff and great common area to hang out. Good kitchen too. I went to dive and it was a great choice of accommodation. It’s a bit far from centro and restaurants but if you have a scooter (which they rent) it’s fine.

Stayed here for a diving holiday and loved it. The hostel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood but the center is still close enough. Thanks for arranging all the dive trips Dom!

I can’t think of a better place to enjoy Cozumel at a more than affordable and competitive price point. The rooms were clean, the place looks good, has everything you need to feel comfortable and plenty of space to relax even if it would become crowded. Management is kind and available if anything comes up. Their diving experiences are run safely, with experienced guides, in some of the most beautiful sites in the World.
10/10, A+, 5 stars. Will come back.

Excellent place. Kitchen had many things with lota of space. Outdoor grill is big. Moped rental is extremely reasonable. Great price for an excellent value of stay. Smart TV ia big and bathroom, bed, and shower are comfortable. Comfortable amd powerful air conditioning. The hosts are excellent at communicating, honest, and friendly.

My partner and I had an amazing stay here. One of the best we've had in our 3 month travel. There are two amazingly well stocked kitchens, wifi was great, free water, coffee, BBQ to use and lovely pool. The room we stayed in was great, aircon and all. Bed was comfy, the hammock in the room was a great bonus. Dom the hostel manager was lovely to chat with and helped arrange multiple scuba dives for me (which were also great experiences). He happily pointed us towards best places nearby to buy food and answered all other questions we had. Would love to come back one day.

I enjoyed my stay at la perle and would return. The place is about a 20 minute walk from the busy areas of San Miguel which sometimes felt far but it was mostly quiet at night which I was grateful for. The host was very kind with assisting me to rent snorkeling gear and pedal bicycle. My room was near the common area which was less ideal but I could change it in my next visit. The amenities are modest, but good value for that price point.
